Our clinic offers specialized services in veterinary cardiology by a certified cardiologist (ESAVS). Cardiology services include everything from routine examinations to the treatment of complex cardiorespiratory diseases.

Cardiac examination includes:

  • general clinical examination with auscultation of the heart and lungs
  • ultrasound of the heart with Color Doppler
  • blood pressure measurement
  • if necessary, X-rays and blood tests

Heart problems in your pet can vary and can include coughing, general weakness, fainting, fatigue without much physical activity, rapid or difficult breathing, sometimes abdominal swelling, or just a weaker appetite.

Cardiology involves diagnosing and treating conditions such as:

  • congestive heart failure
  • cardiomyopathy
  • congenital cardiac anomalies
  • changes in heart valves and arrhythmias

Veterinary cardiologists are an essential part of your pet’s healthcare team from the moment a possible cardiac abnormality is observed. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of cardiac conditions help your pet lead a longer and healthier life.

It is advisable to undergo a specialist cardiac examination:

  • in pets in which an abnormality of cardiac tone or rhythm was observed by general clinical examination
  • in all dogs and cats after 7 years of age
  • in older pets on long-term corticosteroid therapy
  • in pets with endocrinological diseases
  • in older pets scheduled for general anaesthesia
  • in all breeding dogs and cats before breeding age

Taking care of your pet’s heart health is our priority. Our expert team is at your disposal for all necessary examinations and therapies.
