Dr. Maja Jurković Vučenić discovered her passion for veterinary medicine through her own family pet. Growing up alongside animals and caring for them from an early age inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Combined with her interest in the natural sciences, veterinary medicine became the profession she always knew was right for her.
Her primary professional interests are internal medicine and veterinary dentistry, two fields that combine medical knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving. She enjoys the variety that comes with veterinary practice, where every patient brings a new challenge and every case offers an opportunity to learn and grow.
For Dr. Jurković Vučenić, veterinary medicine is about more than treating animals. She believes that building trust with pet owners is just as important, recognising that pets are cherished members of the family. As the owner of Grga, a seven-year-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, she understands how important clear communication, guidance, and support are when a pet requires medical care. She takes the time to explain every step of the diagnostic and treatment process, helping owners make informed decisions about their pet’s health.
At Buba Veterinary Practice, she values the opportunity to dedicate time to every patient and build lasting relationships with both pets and their families. She believes outstanding veterinary care is founded not only on medical expertise but also on empathy, trust, and teamwork. Working alongside supportive colleagues who share knowledge and strive for the highest standard of care is what makes Buba Veterinary Practice a place where both patients and pet owners feel confident and well cared for.
