From a young age, Dr. Anja Simić knew that veterinary medicine was her calling. She grew up surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, parrots, turtles, and even hedgehogs. Rescuing and caring for stray animals became second nature to her, naturally leading her toward a career in veterinary medicine.
Today, Dr. Simić is especially drawn to internal medicine, with a growing passion for cardiology—a field she plans to focus on in the future. What she values most in her daily work is the chance to help both animals and their human companions. “The most rewarding moment is seeing a happy, healthy patient walk out the door. That’s when I know our work truly matters,” she says.
