In 2009, she conducted research in Los Angeles, California, as part of a project titled “Parasitic Diseases of Respiratory and Digestive Systems of Marine Mammals in Southern California” at the Western University of Health Sciences. She has received numerous awards such as \u201cVeterina d.o.o.\u201d for academic excellence 2009\/2010., the CEEPUS Scholarship Programme for studies at the Veterinary University of Vienna and the ERASMUS Scholarship for the University of Bristol in England. In 2015, she was awarded the “BSAVA International Scholarship”.
