With nearly two decades of experience and exceptional dedication to veterinary medicine, Dr. Ljolje is a seasoned expert committed to providing the highest level of care to her patients. After earning her degree in Chemistry at the Faculty of Science in 2004, Dr. Ljolje began her journey in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technician, building a strong foundation for her future career. She graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb in 2009 and further honed her expertise through postgraduate studies in surgery, orthopaedics, neurology, and ophthalmology with anaesthesiology.
Since joining BUBA Veterinary Clinic in 2000, Dr. Ljolje has continuously invested in her knowledge and professional development. She regularly participates in numerous training programs and educational events, staying abreast of the latest global methods and practices to ensure her patients receive cutting-edge care. She is particularly prominent in the fields of surgery, orthopaedics, neurology and radiology, where she uses her knowledge and skills to help patients in the most demanding cases.
Her care and dedication extend beyond the clinic. When not in her veterinary role, Dr. Ljolje enjoys a life filled with pets, many of whom are adopted or rescued. Her home has become a sanctuary for various animals, including two llamas (Špela and Tina), a Russian Greyhound (Baccarat), a Great Dane (Oliver), a Vietnamese pig (Valdemar), and numerous cats like Bruxa, Campari, Eli, and Shakira.
Dr. Ljolje is not only a compassionate caregiver for every patient at BUBA Veterinary Clinic but also a tremendous support to her colleagues. She generously shares her experience and knowledge, encouraging younger veterinarians to learn and grow. Her presence at the clinic represents a combination of expertise, warmth, and dedication, recognized by both pet owners and her patients.
